Sionics upper / hand-guard questions

I’m think ready to try a patrol three upper receiver. Question for those of you that have the hand guard. Is the material fairly thick or is it similar to a kmr thickness? Also, are the holes in the hand-guard near the rear QD sockets for a sling?

I just recently received my upper. I have not measured the thickness, but it seems to be similar to the kmr. I will look closer when I have a moment. The holes you mention are QD sockets for a sling mount. Just a comment; Sionics CS was outstanding. I would call them or email them with any questions. I know I did both and was pleasantly surprised with the expeditious and helpful responses. I am very pleased with the upper respecting the CS, quick shipping, packing and initial inspection. I look forward to hitting the range and giving it a workout.
