View Full Version : New 7 shot Ruger Gp100
Well, it took them long enough, but Ruger finally getting into them high capacity revolvers :sarcastic:
Okay, on a serious note, 7 shot GP100, about a C note premium on their MSRP, for that extra shot.

Am going to be honest, I do kind of want one.

I'd rather go with the 8 shot Redhawk, but both should be fantastic guns.

GP100 is a bit smaller and lighter I think.
Not that I am CC the SOB but still. Either way, if it like my others I have little doubt they will run good and be rugged.
The GPs are nice, but I've carried a Security Six several thousand miles more than that bruiser. I don't expect it, but Ruger could do worse than reintroduce an updated version of the old gun.
If the SL Variant speedloaders we’re still made these would interest me.

Prefer GP100. I use them both before and see GP100 is a bit lighter. in dailyshooting, he compare 2 version gp100 vs gp101: https://www.dailyshooting.com/sp101-vs-gp100/

I inspected one of the 4" 8-shot Redhawks shortly after they came out, thinking I might buy one - not that interested - the thing is a front-heavy beast. According to Ruger.com, the GP100 is a few ozs. lighter, but not a huge difference. I imagine the 2" barrel on either of them would help with balance, but I'm still not that interested.
