11.5 Build

This is my take on an 11.5 inch SBR. I have always been a fan of the 10.75inch rail and 11.5 barrel, i had one of the older URX rails with the integrated front sight but greatly prefer the newer version with the slimmer sides

I wanted to use good quality parts and have a reliable rifle that was also light and handy, keeping it as simple as possible and i am happy with the end result.

Parts Used

Upper:

Sionics rgp barrel
Noveske marked Mur upper
Knights urx rail timed and installed by Mr. Pitts he assembled the entire upper
Surefire closed tine warcomp
Surefire Mini suppressor also have the full size in jail but the mini is handy
Giessele pinned gas block
vseven gas tube
Surefire mini light

Lower:

SBR Noveske Gen 2 lower
vltor a5 extension
Giessele s3g trigger
magpul stock and grip
v seven parts



Upper and lower is an extremely tight fit and the gun feels great.

i put the MRO sight on it, but might end up with an Aimpoint or even try my Kahles 1-6 on it. only other change might be adding the cloud system light switch clamp

Awesome build. Quality all around. That, no doubt, is a hard use battle rig. Great job.

I would save that Kahles for a 12.5 with SOCOM mini build.

Also, any plans on BUIS? And what made you choose the S3G over say a SSA or SD-C?

I forgot to mention but thanks to Jake I’ve pestered him with numerous questions on cut down barrels, gas ports and mini cans


I think the 1-6 and the mini will end up on this rifles twin.

I have a 14.5 in the works that will go to marvin soon for a dimpled barrel pretty excited about it.

Very similar parts.


As far as BUIS I don’t run them. I forsee a MAWL on this rifle before long.

As far as triggers. I’ve been running the single stage CMC on my precision type ar’s so I just went with the 3 gun on this and the flat trigger shoe on my 14.5. I like it kinda almost single stage ish.

Looks awesome, close to my newest 11.5 build. Same rail but with gen 1 noveske upper and lower and a 11.3 BA barrel.
