Once upon a time, another socialist cocksucker was famous for saying "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need", basically laying out one of the primary tenets of the failed form of Government known primarily as socialism.
Now after hearing your comments regarding the redistribution of wealth in the interest of "fairness", how do you suppose your socialistic system will work once people realize that they can lessen their ability while increasing their need, or to put more aptly, realize that "working hard is for suckas"?
I guess what I'm trying to say is, what in the name of holy hell are you thinking?

Our safety net is/was/supposed to be/ the fact that we are a constitutional republic. The things mentioned above, I believe, are speaking of a true democracy which the United States is not. If I'm correct in my assumptions then I can agree 100% that a true democracy is temporary in nature. It doesn't have to be though. If the population were to remain united in the goals for said country then they could in theory thrive. The problem comes when countries "diversify" which is another word for dilute, their population. Thomas Jefferson struggled with the moral dilemma of slavery for some profound reasons. While he agreed that no man deserves to be over another man, he would not agree to free his slaves without them being deported. He spoke of this dilemma calling it "the choice between whats right and self preservation." In our new worlds infancy a large populace of outsiders with different opinions, needs, and desires could have been fatal to our growth. Our founding fathers knew this.. It wasn't supreme race ideology or even hatred that fostered these ideas. It was a desire to stay the course.
The only thing Rome was missing was a constitution to protect certain rights and to lay out specific rules concerning major issues. A lot of good ours is doing us now though..... :(
I heard this get some play today on Hewitt. Very revealing. Is it my imagination, or does Obama almost always let his guard down too soon on stuff like this? How does spreading the wealth around differ from income redistribution? I hope independent tradesmen all around America heard this.
Oh, and I assume that Obama just casually takes it for granted that this plumber achieved some success because he had access to government largesse or something..?

My point is that even if we aren't a democracy by strict definition, we certainly are moving in the direction of people voting "for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury" and that is destructive to how our government is supposed to be run.

Also, I like how BHO says the plummer has to give up money to "lift up those behind him." So this guy busts his butt with no "hand outs" from the "Gubament," but he has to "share" his success with those incapable of succeeding with out it. Also, the increase in taxes on a small business making more than $250K, is that Gross or Net Profit? Does it include inventory? Basically over 90% of the small business' in this country are about to get shafted and they'll have to lay off employees, but BHO continues to misrepresent his wealth redistribution plan.

What the"scholar"doesn't get - b/c he has never laid his own nuts on the line and started, run, and expanded a business - is that if (per the quote RE: expansion of the plumbing company and higher taxes) the government effectively creates financial disincentives for small businesses to expand and create new jobs (spreading the wealth around) they won't. Correspondingly the tax roles fall, unemployment climbs, and the economy stalls.
It isn't rocket science, but it certainly is beyond the grasp of a socialist do nothing "community organizer".

You would have to get caught, which you invariably would if you did it often.
Could argue free speech and your form of political advertising as many of the signs posted, at least in my area, are actually illegal to begin with.
Someone did get arrested for taking down illegal signs all over his town... story was kind of big.. Can't remember where or what the circumstances were other than this man was cleaning up his neighborhood by taking down all illegally posted signs and he was arrested for it.
My random thoughts anyway.

Truer words were never posted. I just finished a response to a friend of mine who is supposedly a devout Catholic but thinks it's okay to vote for Obama even though he acknowledges that it goes against his faith and religious beliefs. When I'm arguing against saving lives, he's arguing for or against party affiliations. So basically, he has sold his soul to the devil all because his a Lemming to the demo(n)kRATic party's propaganda. :rolleyes:

It's because the lemmings at the voting level expect to be the ones "behind" the rest and getting the funds. The lemmings at th policy level either have trust funds which take care of such matters, have attorneys/accountants to use the loopholes they build into the laws so they don't pay the taxes, or both.

Obama could shit on the American flag while preforming an abortion on a full term lady while reading the koran on prime time TV and people would still vote for him. It is utterly insane the amount of ignorance and the size of blinders his constituency wear and posses. I'm actually physically sickened and angered when I see and hear his supporters in my town. This from someone who rarely publicly shows emotion.... It's getting to me lately. I should stay indoors for a while i think....................... :mad:
