View Full Version : PX4 with APL
FYSA,
Due to the shape of trigger guard on the PX4 9mm fullsize, you cannot use the fullsize Gen3 APL without modification to the paddles. Other models, I have not tested. 10 minutes with a couple of files got it going, without impairing its usability on other guns. The mod does not have a highly bubba’d appearance while attached.
APL-C Glock requires similar modification, but I like the way it fits best. I’ve tried APL, APL-C, and APL-C Glock. Non-Glock APL-C is a no-go.
This is the one I’m going to get a holster built for.
I figured this out the hard way after getting the holster made. Explains why it was so hard to find a maker to do that combo.
It's not only the gen 3 APL, but all gens(I tested all gens)

Why the APLC and not a TLR7? Unless you already had it.
I already had APL lights.
My tlr8 doesn't fit the px4 compact rails. I was hoping the apl-c /non-glock would fit.
Nope.

I had to play with all of the adapters to get the TLR7 to fit the M&P 9c (first gen). Universal 4 is what got it.

I have had a lot of issues with the PX4s and lights.
Same reason.
I had some APL’s, but no TLR’s. I have aquired more APL’s in this excercise to try to keep my guns uniform.
