The old Kimber is going to get some time off.

A few months back I decided to get a combat style 1911 and was looking at the Wilson CQB, Les Baer TRS, and Rock River Basic Carry. I think all are fine guns but I found a good deal and was able to "try before I buy" locally.

I am really liking this gun so far and plan on spending a lot of time with it.

That's the only Baer I'd want. Good job!

I am starting a TRS fund bucket this month. Adding $200 bucks to it and maybe more in chunks. I keep coming back to this simple workorse example!!:D

I love my Ionbonded TRS but I may end up selling it since I'm more of a Glock 9mm guy :o

Consider it a done deal. Where should I send you a new G19 for trade?

By some of the PM's I've had, I may not own it too much longer (Man I'll regret selling it)

You can do both.

Congrats on your new TRS. I am sure you will love it for years. I love my TRC it has been flawless. I put a 10-8 rear on mine and it is a great setup.

I do have both, I just don't see myself actually carrying it since I prefer the Glock platform... I guess I'll keep it just to keep it and shoot here and there ;)

Marshal, Is that an older TRS or have the grips been replaced with the thicker ones. I wasn't sure how much I would like the thin grips but they do grow on you after awhile.

I really like mine. It is the only 1911 I own and I have a second on order. I think the TRS is a great set-up. I like the straight forward now frills design. I do however have giant XXL hands so I changed the slim grip out for standard grips.

I am not sure about the date of manufacture being at least the third owner. It may be an older Baer. The serial number is TR0235X if anybody knows what date range that is. I like the look and feel of the "racing" grips.

They are not bad either :D

Mine is a Concept VIII, not a TRS:

Reminds me of my Stinger. I find the TRC more comfortable to carry.

Congrats on the TRS, I have a Premier II that just passed 3000rds and runs like a sewing machine, you will love it once its broken in and not quite as tight, Les builds nice weapons

Your 25yd shots look like my 15:D

I have had my TRS for about 3 years built on a Monolith frame with a mag well. She gets a lot of use, and a lot of carry. Well worth the money, and wait.

All of my 1911's wear Davidson grips. That's what the grey black G-10 grips are. Larry Davidson make fine grips!
