sig 556 anybody???

i was talking to one of my buddies today, seems he has a sig 556, and has ordered a LWRC. he is real big on the sig, i never see anybody mention them on this site or TOS. what's the deal, on them,,anybody shoot them??? pro's,,,cons????

i love SIG pistols, but i dont much like the 556.

the 556 SWAT model is really what the base model *should* be. especially for what SIG wants to charge

what i don't like about the standard 556:

heavy
poor quality plastic forend
no iron sights
reciprocating bolt handle



if you get an AR you have so many more parts to chose from. i just don't see the point of the 556. SIG was just trying to capitalize on the mythic status of the 550 series.

i notice that these things really sit around on dealers shelves. it makes me think that the resale value can't be that good, seems like there isn't a lot of demand for these.
