The troy battle mag is a good alternative to the pmag. I prefer the grip of the pmag, but in terms of performance they have been both reliable as I could hope for. I use battle mags often in 3gun and have had zero problems with them. These mags are dropped often and have had zero damage to the feed lips, the polymer has lasted, and they have a anti tilt follower. I recommend these and will continue to use them, they also work great for those who want a mag to use for 300 blackout to prevent mix ups. Great vid. Never tried a Battlemag before but seems good to go, may give one a shot. I'm a Pmag guy myself (2nd gen OD Green since Magpul discontinued their OD Green - bastards).

I did buy a half dozen Daniel Defense mags though and have been impressed so far. Love the feel of the texturing on them (they remind me of my old Glock RTF) and they hold 32 rounds while being the same size as everything else. Pic below:

I prefer pmags as well but I typically have those in my chest rig. I have yet to try the daniel defense mags.

I got some Troy mags. They were 5.99 on black Friday a few years ago so I bought 5. They work fine. The mag base is a bear to get off. David

Just wait for Flat Dark Poop to run its course... someday we'll be back to fighting in jungles or woodlands again and need OD/Foliage/green-spectrum stuff accordingly.

Here in the Northwet with nothing but green as far as the eye can see, FDE and desert hues don't make as much sense as the Sandbox and the Rockpile...

Battlemags have been my favorites for the last few years.

I had some and they worked fine. I don't buy junk brands so haven't had a bad experience with any of my mags. Cool vid.

Troy seems to make a decent mag. In my experience with the 3 I have is they seem a little looser fitting but that hasn't caused an issue so far. I really like the scaley texture on them but do agree that the base plate is a bastard to remove. Im not a fan of the pull tabs they come with however my one friends loves that feature in particular. I dont see them often but with as many mags as I have theyd have to be really cheap before Id buy any more
