This is quite interesting. Ideally I'd have thought something like a refined CMMG that takes AK mags would be a better choice.

There are other countries which used/use AKs which this could benefit. Iraq and Afghanistan come to mind. The Saudis just bought the rights to make an advanced rifle from the Russians. Maybe they regret that now.

It would be nice to see some detail on how this rifle uses both kinds of ammo. Is this one rifle or two rifles, each using different ammo?
