Trying to install the Centurion Arms carbine cutout rail I just got and am having no luck getting it secured.

Read the directions 3 times before I did anything and comprehend them fine, but no matter what (even fully torqued to spec) I can't keep the rail from having up and down play by just moving it with my hand.

Anybody got any tips that could help me solve the problem?

Rifle is a Colt 6920.

Mine is a standard 12" version but is rock solid. Can you post any pics or a video?

After trying to assemble it for the third time I have it all disassembled because I don't want overwork anything or get the urge to torque beyond the specs, but basically side to side is rock solid, but even torqued up to spec I can brace the rifle between my knees and move the rail up and down by hand.

Just tried it to install it on another rifle after popping the LWRC rail (that attaches in a similar manner) off.

Same wobble, video is currently uploading to Photobucket I'll see if I can post it here.

Contact Centurion. Monty and Corrie are top notch and will take care of you. This is the first thing you should do, then let us know what you find out. sales@centurionarms.net

Just emailed them.

I am hoping however that the issue is me and there is some trick I am not doing.

Are you sure it's the rail moving and not the barrel flexing?

Are you sure it's the rail moving and not the barrel flexing?

Positive.

I bridged the rail and upper with an ACOG mount to isolate the rail and tried to move the barrel, barrel did not move.

Let's give Centurion Arms the time to respond to this. Once there has been some action, we can re-open it with an update.
