I have a brand new semi auto Colt SP-1. I would guess it was produced in the late 1970's. Question - were they produced with semi or full auto bolt carriers ? I have both types of new Colt bolt carriers in my safe.

My Colt SP-1 from the early 80's came with a non-shrouded, semi-auto carrier.

For timeline, I bought 18xxx in 1974, and 129xxx in 11/80.
