Made this meme. Memes I'm seeing, such as comparing a AR to a mini 14 as reasons not to ban ARs falls flat in making the point to me. Need something much more in their face. What other top and bottom text would work well with this image? Lets dispense with ARs are meant to kill people and they'll never go after shot guns and bolt guns cuz they're not weapons of war and such.

The above meme does the same. Teaches many that they need to not check their logic but to add more to their pile of bans.
You can’t point out they are ignorant. You have to point out they anti-gun means pro-oppression. Their Marxist assumption is class warfare and their morality is strong vs weak. Help them see they are violating human rights and hurting people. Address their methods as mere pandering. But don’t educate them on actual firearms. You’re just handing them education they didn’t pay for and will use against you. Just my $.02.

The problem with that and many other memes is they just teach the left something new to use against us. There's no reasoning with them, no logic that will work with them, no talking to them. We've got to figure out how to stop feeding the trolls.

Since this veered off topic but directed at me, I’m aware of those quotes and the “thoughtful” points in the article.
Yet identifying as Marxist and carrying neo-Marxist unexamined beliefs which our students and news viewers are ingesting daily are two different things. The oppressor-victim narrative is the overriding morality of the Left today and any constructive dialog in society must speak that language to help move those on the fence to wake up. As committed naturalists, they don’t hold to First Principles and will change with the wind of the next narrative.
Let’s return to the memes.

The only problem with this meme is their logic will be to ban "sniper rifles" and "assault shotguns" which is their goal anyway.
I remember something a few years back where the BATFE wanted to go scorched earth on any shotgun (pump, auto, break open) that had so much as a flashlight or shell carrier.

Exactly, but it's better to force them to admit that openly, thus exposing their true agenda which will make people realize uncle Joe's bolt gun and grandpas shot gun will be taken next, vs playing defense here hoping they only take the ARs. Many who are for "sensible" gun control but not anti gun (which is most 'Muricans) believe the anti gun groups when they claim they don't want to remove all guns, just "assault weapons" and such. Get that out in the open and those on the fence will see what the true goals are.

That video always makes me laugh... much to the confusion of my coworkers who feel if we just remove all guns somehow criminals won't have them either.

I generally stay out of the trenches on social media sites in the wake of such sensationalized crimes...
However I could not sit by on this one, the lemmings who claim they don't want to ban "all" firearms or take away the 2nd Amendment and lament about "common sense gun control" get all their info from the media. They want a ban on specifically the AR-15, when I point out to them that the AR-15 is only ONE type of semi-automatic sporting rifle they don't know what to say. They actually believe that if a magic wand was some how waved and we could ban all the AR-15s out there no one would shoot up a soft target; school, nightclub, church, etc. with an AK, SCAR, ARX, Mini-14, et al.
It's the sort of thing that reinforces my belief that the vast majority of people are completely ****ing stupid.

If these people actually understood firearms and the nature of this ammo vs. that ammo, they'd no longer be trying to implement gun bans. This is the default position of people who are completely ignorant about such things, which is ironic because they criticize others for exactly the same kind of ignorance when it comes to subjects such as homosexuality and AIDS.

The sad truth of the matter is most of them had no desire to resist. Rather than trying to smuggle weapons into the ghettos, they brought jewelry.
I read a book by a Jewish physician who worked for Mengele. In his assessment they were so determined to maintain some sense of normalcy that they deliberately ignored the reality of their situation until it was too late.
He goes on to detail how only one Sonderkommando (inmates made to work in the gas chambers/crematoriums) made an attempt to rebel. The rest simply carried out their work until it was their turn to die.
I fear we're at a point where a large segment of the population would fall into the same trap.

Well most importantly, don't think that I'm missing your point. I'd like to believe I'd be shoved in the room kicking and screaming rather than thinking to myself "it's hopeless at this point." I'm just saying that with few exceptions such as Warsaw, people had been so thoroughly subjugated their own death was a forgone conclusion and they were probably just hoping to not cause the death of someone else who might otherwise survive all this.
And there were people who saw the writing on the wall, the first people to complain were German "non jews" and they were the first inmates at Dachau. That pretty much took care of local dissent and jews just thought they were being forced to live in ghettos, and as members of people who sometimes lived in closed communities that probably isn't the worst thing they could imagine. They had been stripped of their rights and robbed of any wealth, they probably honestly believed this was as bad as it can get and they'd somehow just get through it.
Then they liquidated the ghettos, sure some knew what that meant and if they had some kind of escape option they put it into effect KNOWING they couldn't save everyone. Those being "relocated" hoped they were being sent to work camps, at least workers ate. The alternatives were probably too horrific to contemplate. And when they found out they were slave labor, they probably thought "ok, at least we will eat and we can somehow survive this IF we follow the rules."
And once you accept being a slave, most of your humanity has been effectively stripped from you and it's a short trip to the firing squads, gas chambers or whatever is next for you. And if you've already seen your loved ones murdered, maybe you don't want to escape anymore.
So while it may seem like many just accepted their fate and walked to their own death, if you understand how they got there, it's easier to understand why it happened. And that is why you have to be ready to fight when people are still talking of "reasonable restrictions" because once you surrender your options, you are at the mercy of the good intentions of bad people.

Well most importantly, don't think that I'm missing your point. I'd like to believe I'd be shoved in the room kicking and screaming rather than thinking to myself "it's hopeless at this point." I'm just saying that with few exceptions such as Warsaw, people had been so thoroughly subjugated their own death was a forgone conclusion and they were probably just hoping to not cause the death of someone else who might otherwise survive all this.
And there were people who saw the writing on the wall, the first people to complain were German "non jews" and they were the first inmates at Dachau. That pretty much took care of local dissent and jews just thought they were being forced to live in ghettos, and as members of people who sometimes lived in closed communities that probably isn't the worst thing they could imagine. They had been stripped of their rights and robbed of any wealth, they probably honestly believed this was as bad as it can get and they'd somehow just get through it.
Then they liquidated the ghettos, sure some knew what that meant and if they had some kind of escape option they put it into effect KNOWING they couldn't save everyone. Those being "relocated" hoped they were being sent to work camps, at least workers ate. The alternatives were probably too horrific to contemplate. And when they found out they were slave labor, they probably thought "ok, at least we will eat and we can somehow survive this IF we follow the rules."
And once you accept being a slave, most of your humanity has been effectively stripped from you and it's a short trip to the firing squads, gas chambers or whatever is next for you. And if you've already seen your loved ones murdered, maybe you don't want to escape anymore.
So while it may seem like many just accepted their fate and walked to their own death, if you understand how they got there, it's easier to understand why it happened. And that is why you have to be ready to fight when people are still talking of "reasonable restrictions" because once you surrender your options, you are at the mercy of the good intentions of bad people.
All reasonable points. Self preservation is a powerful instinct, even in the face of almost certain death.
Perhaps if these lessons were actually taught in school we wouldn't be headed down this path.

1. No argument there. However, they should have seen the writing on the wall that something very bad was happening to them. It didn't exactly happen overnight..
They did see the writing in the wall. Many had no place to go. Even the Brits kept the quota at like 3,000 when they were trying to escape to Israel as Hitler rose to power. The USA also limited their coming. Lots of bad decisions cut off the escape. And don’t forget the Allies didn’t even believe it was happening as it was happening. Not until Wiesel wrote “Night” 10 years after the end of the war did the world wake up to acknowledge it.

Just look at how idiotic many anti-gun politicians/media/supporters are. They always talk about banning assault rifles, or that the government isn't trying to take your guns away, or that there is no need for anyone to own an AR15.
