I have been slowly amassing my gear and practicing techniques for modifying pocket knives for a few years now. I have at this point gotten acid washing, stone washing, action tuning (even ceramic bearings and phosphor bronze washers), and sharpening down to a science and I have begun titanium anodizing (this is recent and I'm not ready to work on other people's titanium just yet, but soon, very soon). Here are a few examples of my work -

I sharpen knives as well (working on a granton for a local chef presently).

What sharpening system do you use? I have been using the lansky system for a few years now with great results.

I use a wicked edge system. It provides amazing results and super consistent edges.

I bought a Ferrum Forge Crux (well I have now bought a 2nd one in dark blue and a Gent) a while back, and I have done several different modifications over time. Some of the modifications shown in the album (and a few that aren't shown) include acid & stone washing the blade, mirror polish and sharpen the edge, tune the action (polish all contact point of the ceramic bearings like blade pivot and bearing contact, stainless scale inserts, and detent track), removed the bead blast and sand to 2000 grit satin finish, anodize parts with blue on scale flats and everything else a deep bronze. I'm debating a stonewash of the scales but keep the stain, so a shiny, but beaten look. Anyway, here are 3 pictures of finished product followed by a link to the full album.
