Dumping my auto insurance of 11 years, looking for advice on a good, hopefully conservative ran, right leaning company.
I have nothing at all on my record for over 10 years, and have never filed a claim in my life.
Who do yall use & why?
UPDATE: Went to USAA..filled ot everything..got a quote about $350 cheaper than Progessive, with slightly better coverage. THANKS for that suggestion.
Im all ears for anymore..got a couple months left Ive already paid up...then Im GONE.

I have used USAA since 2005 and can't be more pleased. The customer service is top notch.

I think a lot might depend on where you are and your particular agent. I've used Farmers for 15 years for home and auto. My agent is a gun guy and generally conservative, so it comes down to both the company and agent. I'm not sure what Farmers corp attitude is toward conservative vs progressive principals. I always figured most insurance companies cared about one thing...dollars.

Im recently finding out about the guy who started Progressive...he donates a shit ton of money to lefty causes. And my premiums are way too high in addition. Would like to support some right leaning, conservative companies if there are any.

Found this on about Farmer's:

I assume Rocket City means you're in Texas...

ETA: I'm not trying to push Farmer's Insurance BTW, just been a mostly satisfied customer. If eligible, USAA would be me preference...

Nope, not in Texas...and Im not going to use Farmers either because the actor in commercials is very anti-gun. Screw him AND them.

I’d love to have an alternative to Progressive. Unfortunately, they are by far the cheapest motorcycle insurance I have found when combined with the USAA discount.

Wasn't there a dust up last year about USAA pulling ads from conservative talk shows, but continuing to buy advertising on more liberal shows?

I am happy with the service and price level that State Farm provides me. They give contributions to both parties, but lean towards the Republican side of things in total dollars given.

^This.

I just started using USAA this year after a year of using Progressive.

The difference in quantity of insurance is such that I have much more comprehensive insurance under USAA at a marginal increase in price over Progressive. If I had gotten the same level of insurance through USAA as I had through Progressive, my monthly premium would have been half of what Progressive's are, even with Progressive's discount for paying bi-annually.
