Looking for a training course in the vicinity of Tampa, Florida.

Primarily something that can focus on pseudo tactical situations.

Previously I have had CQB training (MP5 & 1911), but is has been a while and I need help getting up to speed.

Weapon systems:
BM AR-15
Kimber 1911

FWIW, I have taken classes there from Randy Cain, Pat Rogers, Louis Awerbuck, Bill Jeans, Magpul Dynamics, etc. Southern brings in great instructors. Drop them an email to get the current schedule.

They were hosting a carbine class when I called.

Look into Bushido Tactical. They are in Orlando, but conduct courses all over the US, and regularly hold courses in FL, including in Tampa. I've taken a couple of courses with them, and it was great training. I'm signed up for a few more with Bushido this year (handgun, SUSR, and precision rifle).

FWIW, I've trained with a couple of other excellent instructors, including Randy Cain, and I think Bushido Tactical is right up there with any of them. Price-wise, they are very competitive, and you get a lot of training for your $$.

Don't let the fact that the name "Bushido Tactical" is relatively new to the training scene dissuade you; the director, Wade Rorich, has been doing this for a long time for other companies, including the Surefire Institute and Strategos Int'l, and now he's out on his own. Besides Wade, Bushido Tactical's staff instructors are former special operations soldiers and current SWAT operators, so they offer a very broad curriculum.

I took a Magpul Dynamics class this past August and quite frankly, im chomping at the bit in anticipation of going back.

If you have a chance to train with them i would strongly suggest you do so.
