While installing an ALG single chamber comp I noticed the crown of the barrel isn’t flush with the back end of the chamber (see photo) should I shim the comp so that the crown is flush or does it really not matter? Thanks for any input.

The only problem I can see happening is the exposed threads could carbon up and make the comp difficult to remove. Are you using a crush washer? Hard to see in the picture.

What is the length of the threads? Shoulder to end if barrel?

I would get a set of Precision Armament shims and that should take care of it. Keeps the threads from getting crusty and snugs it up.

Ok thanks for the info guys; I didn’t think about the threads gumming up. It came with enough peel washers to get it flushed up. Just had to reinstall with them
