Centurion Arms group buy PICS NOW IN FIRST POST

Here is what we have going on so far.

1. I have spoken with Monty, owner of Centurion Arms. He is getting ready to release forged Centurion Arms receivers, and is willing to start out with a group buy.

2. I do NOT have hard numbers yet for pricing. Please don't expect garbage bottom tier pricing, but I don't see where anything should be crazy in pricing right now.

3. I mentioned that it may be cool to do an upper and lower combo, and Monty mentioned he could do something special so it would be clear these pieces came together. It would add in the coolness factor without raising prices. These wouldn't be available to people who weren't in on this buy.

4. These will be low serial numbers for those people who care about that sort of thing. Personally, I like that sort of stuff, some don't care.

5. I am aware that Monty has some new stuff coming out. Nothing super expensive, and nothing that will change the rotation of the sun around the earth, but some fun stuff none the less. I asked if there is anyway we could possibly get a lower price if people did a group buy and added in some of the new things. Monty is open to this, I'll update as more info comes available.

Not sure what the configuration options will be for production, but after speaking with Centurion I was given the OK to give a spoiler. Side note: I idiot marked a couple spots and hit them with some flat black.

Edit: More info: I got mine as a complete rifle. Some early communication with Corrie and Monty. CM4 Lower, very plain Jane as I had other plans for specific parts(FCD parts, G trigger, etc). I picked a CM4 complete upper w/ C4 BCG - 16" w/ 15" CMR M-Lok, and I sent them a Forward Controls Design 6315 and as you can see the diopter sights. I will be taking about 600 rounds to put it through the paces next weekend. Will Try to be more detailed and use an actual camera next week. At first glance, I couldn't be happier and communication was amazing. Again, I don't know what options will be available, but it is pretty much what I have come to expect from Centurion Arms.

I had my CA MK12 out yesterday, as well as a secondary one I have built off a MK12 barrel and C4 rail. I love them.

Not an ongoing thing, but some other group buys will get lined up down the road for other items and manufacturers.

We are getting closer to putting in a thread with pricing (which hasn't been figured out yet). We are also figuring what what happen with an upper and lower combo, and what would be done with the upper to make it special.

I am a big fan of serial numbered matching upper lower combos. When an upper matches a lower, and they both have the same serial number, resale and perceived value is always much higher for those who care about that sort of thing.

The engraving of the logo is deep and unique. Not just a rollmark. My understanding is that these are new stock. I have both. The Centurion is nicer with a realistic price point.

I'm trying to get rough numbers to Monty, and right now I think we are between 50-75 lowers. I need to talk with him and get final details as to whether this is going to be just the stripped lower, or if he is going to do the upper and lower, or if there is an option for a lower or lower w/ upper.

I will update this as I find out more. Feel free to invite other people who appreciate Centurion Arms or higher quality weapons. The weapon community should be all friends, I have zero desire to exclude anyone. People will need to post their interest here, commenting on some obscure board that you are in won't help anyone. The exception to this maybe over on WEVO as a brother in blue and good friend of mine admin wants to make sure his crew is taken care of as well. If Richard makes a post over there, it will be honored.

I've had a few requests for special serial numbers, and it isn't realistic. Monty already has lowers going on the machines, and serial numbers are started from 100 and on from there. I know a lot of guys want their badge number, kids birthday, old weapon rack number, or pet name for their girlfriend, but it just isn't realistic. I appreciate Monty going out of his way to take care of us, and not just because he is a board sponsor, but because he is a good guy.


LASTLY..... Make sure you have a FFL that you can use, and that you can send a copy of the FFL to Monty so he can LEGALLY send the lower to your FFL. Don't be the clown who says they didn't know it needed to go to a FFL...

I talked with Monty today, he is doing the NRA show, so it will be next week or so when we nail everything down.
