I'm a DI only guy, but I find this very fascinating.

Basically it is DI until the lugs unlock then the gas is cut off and the gas tube becomes an oprod.

Sort of like applying the White piston concept to the DI action, except not rotating out of alignment.

With excess gas getting trapped in the bore it might suppress very well.

Interesting. I wonder if the initial inline gas volume down the gas tube acts to push the bolt forward (as it does in the standard AR), thereby reducing stress on the locking lugs during bolt unlocking. It’s a novel idea and I enjoy seeing companies push the envelope in the application of 3D metal printing in firearm design.

It should, during the DI phase it's just like any AR.

I bet it would sheer lugs more frequently if you used something like an LMT E carrier since the timing of unlocking is delayed vs the distance of carrier travel.

The gas pressure inside the expansion chamber never exceeds the pressure in the chamber and cannot push the bolt forward.
