I finally got my 37MM Grenade Launcher up and running. I was waiting on the mount from Daniel Defense and it showed up on Friday (happy dance). :D

Thought I would share some pics of it mounted up for your enjoyment.

Why, you know what a 203 looks like. You know, multiple mounting points and no plastic hinges.

Yes I know what a M203 is and have shot one. This is a 37MM launcher and has metal hinges and brackets.

Unless you own this model (which is made by the same folks that make the M203) do not comment that it "looks delicate" as you do not own one.

Maybe instead of getting butt-hurt you could explain what this new flair launcher is made out of and what supports the hinge when the tube folds out. I don't own one so anemic LOOKING pictures is not enough to convey the quality this product may have.

I gotta a better idea, how bout stop acting like an asshat 99% of the time on this forum.

If you want to ask a question about a piece of gear that you do not own, simply ask it! That works much better than making wildly incorrect claims/comments about stuff don't own.

It shoots either short range or long range smoke grenades, OC or CS grenades. The long range canisters go about 150yds. :D

ALS sells them and I am a Distr. for their products. The nice thing about the 37MM launchers is that you don't need an special tax stamp to own it or for the grenades (as long as there one of the four mentioned above).

Damn Nitrox, you sound like a kid!!! Lighten up bro.

Grant, 150 yds. is decent with that compact of a system, cool.

Cool. So as a civie/non-leo type, I can buy OC or CS grenades? I probably shouldn't...it would be too tempting to use it on some unruly neighbors. How much heat do the grenades put off?

Would that be ALS as in Advanced Longrange Systems?

I think it looks a little strange myself- it's the single mounting point at the rear that causes it to look like it will pop off when the slightest bit of pressure is applied up front.

Sorry, it honestly looks strange...

Grant,

I run a 37 & 40mm, and I've been kicking around the idea of picking up a personal 37mm, or possibly a 40mm to reload and get more trigger time in. Do me a favor and keep us posted on how it runs, and if you are doing any loads for it yourself.

Thanks.

Will do. Smoke/OC/CS grenades are pretty cheap from ALS so shooting it really isn't that pricey.

That is correct. I check ID's on the CS stuff, but it is 100% legal. Very little heat is put out IMHO.

OC is basically MACE (pepper spray) and CS is tear gas.

You guys should really visit the dealer forums more often!

Awesome. Is there a shelf life on the smoke or CS grenades? I'd like to have some around for the "just in case" situations. One never knows.

I've popped off some pretty old stuff before, and never had any problems. I know we have a policy on not keeping our chemical munitions longer than a certain time period, and to rotate through it, but neither in the MIL or in LE work have I seen any of them fail to work due to age. Storage is probably more of an issue than anything else.

Grant - I would love to see some video of that thing in action, and I'd especially love to see the terminal performance of the long-range white smoke.

All - the ALS website has a FAQ:
http://www.alslesslethal.com/faq-home.htm
that says, in part:

Q: What is the warranty on ALS products?

A: All ALS products come with a five-year shelf life warranty if stored under proper conditions.

Sadly the ALS site had no videos that I could find.

Grant is the sale of the OC/CS regulated at all or can "a mere civie" easily buy them?

CS and OC are legal to everyone. I however, require a drivers license on the purchase of the CS gas (just to make sure you at least 21).

Neat new toy...

Makes me miss the old M-79 I used to carry once in a while..

Of course I also really miss the Duece anahalf that used to stop by our
bunker before missions with a whole load of goodies...

Nutz now I am also missing those engineer packs....:)
