View Full Version : Has anyone used the KAC 600m sight for long-range shooting?

One of my AR's is set up for long-range shooting, and I'm thinking about getting a long-range iron sight to put on it. This would be primarily for the fun of shooting with iron sights at longer range; it's not really intended as a backup iron site on an M4gery type rifle (therefore the various BUIS, like Troy, are not really what I'm after).

Some days I like to just pull my scope off (it's on a quick-release extended rail mount), attach my LMT rear sight, and start plinking at long range. But I'd like to get a rear sight that's better set up for long range shooting. I looked at a few of the match-type sights used in high power match rifles, but those were kind of overkill.

Would the KAC 600m sight likely be a good choice, making it possible for me to shoot easily at longer range with irons? Does it have any downside? Are there other long-range irons I should consider, like the Matech 600m?
