Im looking at two different guns, different animals really both used, both low round count. The Ar180B has a polymer frame and they are asking around $700 for it.The Core Ar15 has a Vortex red dot and alittle more than a 100 through it.ASking $1,000.00.Any thoughts:mad:

I'd recommend looking at a Colt 6920 for those prices.

Colt BCM Sionics. Don't get cute. Core is not quality and why get a platform in AR180 that is not known quality

Try the forum search under 'Armalite 180B' here are a couple of samples:

https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?11359-AR-180B-vs-AR15

Here's another sample under a web browser google search:

https://www.huntinggearguy.com/rifle-reviews/ar-180b-review/

If I was to buy one I'd replace the polymer lower with NODAK SPUD lower:

BTW FWIW 700.00 seems to be highish.

Are you just wanting an AR or does the design of the AR180B trip your trigger? If you just want an AR there are much better ones available - NEW - between 800 and 1200.

I think the AR180B is a very interesting piece of kit. If you already have a good AR, the AR180B may be the way to go. But if you don't, go with the AR first.

Justin you maybe right.I do have a 20" A2 kreiger barreled Ar15 with Mag Pul precision stock along with a IWI Tavor and a DPMS 308.Now I will really throw you for a loop.I have been also wanting a used 30-30 lever gun and also a SKS of all things.

One out of three is pretty lame!

Ooof. Your AR sounds like a precision-oriented tank. Have you considered buying or building an AR pistol (maybe 11.5") or a lightweight AR (maybe something based around the BCM ELW 16" barrel)?

Regardless, I'd rather have the AR180B than a Core15.

Both of your choices are rather marginal rifles. I think you would be better served with a Colt or equivalent rifle and a good optic rather than paying $1700 for questionable rifles.
