As we all know, the banners realize it's tough to ban guns, so they have learned going after ammo ("bullet control") etc is easier. Looks like some are willing to fight:

Olympic medalist files lawsuit over California bullet control law

Six-time Olympic medal winner Kim Rhode has joined with gun rights groups and others to challenge the state’s new regulations on ammo sales.

Rhode, a California resident who burns through thousands of rounds per year training as a world champion trap and skeet shooter, is named as a plaintiff in a federal lawsuit filed Thursday against state Attorney General Xavier Becerra over the tenets of Proposition 63, which places a number of controls on the sale and transfer of ammunition.

The Olympian, who is on the 75-member board of the National Rifle Association, was joined in the lawsuit by its state affiliate, the California Rifle & Pistol Association, as well as a number of out of state ammo retailers who can no longer ship their products directly to state resident’s homes under the new rules.

The 31-page lawsuit argues Prop 63, which Second Amendment advocates characterized as “Gunmageddon,” outlaws direct mail order ammunition sales, puts all transfers of ammo under a “burdensome registration scheme,” imposes costly fees and price increases on bullet sales and mires would-be vendors in piles of Sacramento red tape. As such, it not only violates the Dormant Commerce Clause by discriminating against interstate commerce but also tramples on the Constitutional right to keep and bear arms.

It gets worse in 2019 when a background check to purchase ammo kicks in. The regs, as far I know, haven't been written yet so we don't know how this 2019 "kill the 2A" law will play out. Walmarts in my area are starting to stop ammo sales.

Some LGS are allowing ammo to be shipped to their location for p/u plus a small fee, so it's half way workable right now. What I'm really concerned about is when/or if Gavin Newson gets elected governor and the commie rats (DEMS) go for the whole enchilada and try and ban all semi-autos.

Forgot to add that I really hope the young lady and her team pulls this off. Right now we can still possess our normal capacity mags because of a sane judge put an injunction on the over 10 rd complete mag ban. It's still holding.

They need to point out that only Comgress can regulate interstate commerce as well

I watched a video she made - on average she shoots 500 rounds a day.

That law would tend to cramp her style.

Why are any States, and Cities allowed to pass ANY law restricting guns, and ammo? These are infringements. How have they been allowed to stand?

Especially since is specifically violates FOPA 86 in this instance. Of course this isn't the first time CA has willfully violated federal laws.

Anyone see the movie "American Made".

Hear me out!

A few M4C.net members, preferably 8, purchases (4) mid to late 1970's worn out air worthy Aero Commander 500 Shrike's. We can get them cheap, no interiors, 25 hours pass inspection, round dial cockpit, about 10 hours remaining until major overhaul is needed.

We pay the Indian Nation the typical $40k to get our planes and vehicles registered on there reservation as well as a reservation PO Box, new Indian Tribe passports and a lifetime discount on any of there Indian casinos.

Right, so we buy bulk ammo from source states like Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma, etc. (the free states) perhaps buy it in bulk online.

We employ a mule do deliver our bulk ammo to our Arizona Operation via an unmarked box truck.

Our Arizona Operation is where be break down our bulk ammo into smaller manageable bundles. We re-package each bundle into ammo drop container with a small 8 ft drogue parachute and Spot GPS locator.

Our FBO will be Hualapai Airport, its 100% privately owned -NON federally subsidized airport owned and operated by the Hualapai Tribe and the 800 acres the airport is located on is controlled by the Hualapai Reservation. The Hualapai will not even allow Civil Air Patrol to land on there runway.

We fly from Hualapai Airport into California under the radar and across the state line and drop ammo to "pre qualified buyers", people that we have vetted, know and trust. And we drop our product in or around South California, preferably in the areas of the Rancho Cucamonga, Moreno Valley, Corona mountains or Fontana mountain valley region. We continue to fly straight on to Pala Reservation where our planes including cargo are not subject to state search and or seizure laws.

We mark up the ammo the usual 100% but we all make money!

Sounds like the maintenance program of some of the airplane owners I know. Bob Hoover used to do airshows in a Shrike. He'd poor water out of a pitcher into a glass while doing a 1G roll. Amazing.

Agree with the poster that said just mark it with an Amazon logo. You could probably ride a Tiger tank into town if it had Amazon on it.

Fireworks are illegal for the most part in AZ, but not in New Mexico. Phantom Fireworks set up shop right passed the border crossing on I10.

Hell they’ve even distributed mail flyers to all of Southern Arizona to let us know they are there.

Why not just set up massive ammo depots on the Arizona side of the CA border. Let the word of mouth spread and then we don’t have to act like drug mules, because we wouldn’t be doing anything illegal.

Just selling ammo to legal age adults...but 100% mark up is cool too. So idk.

How will they know that the ammo you have has been 'cleared', versus recently 'imported'?

I thought California already had Soviet-style checkpoints along the border.
