View Full Version : Any concern with this key or its staking?

I've never seen one like this, and thought maybe the key might be brittle or something. As can be seen, the metal is fractured at all four points. Sorry about the paper fibers--that's how it arrived.

Looks sufficient to me.

What brand of carrier and key is that?

Also, why did the metal fracture during staking? I was under the impression it was supposed to deform in order to prevent the nuts from moving not break under pressure.

If you use too much pressure using a MOAKS or PMOAKS it will fracture but those scrws arent turning.

So no worries of pieces of metal breaking off?

+1. It's not the best job I've seen - but I doubt it'll give you any problems. If that were my BCG, I wouldn't worry about it (unless I were doing a whole lot of sustained full auto fire).

I'd worry more about that fuzz.
