I just got an Aimpoint T2 Micro. I don't have my 10.5 Noveske Upper yet to attach. I have Magpul BUIS Pro. I want 100% co-witness.

Will I get 100% co-witness with the standard mount or do I need a taller mount?

Any other comments?

What do you mean 100%? Options are:
1 Co-witness in middle of optic
2 co-witness in lower third of optic field of view.

My be others, but thats the main choice.

Do tou have a pic of the mount it came with?

You said standard mount? American Defense? If so it is absolute co witness

ADM isn’t the standard mount, the Aimpoint LRP is.

It is the "Standard Mount". The low one for an AR15.

I want a co-witness with the dot in the center of the optic. I have that on my Aimpoint Pro and my BUIS and I really like it. I normally have the BUIS folded down though.

You'll need a taller mount then. Something absolute cowitness height.

Ok then.

As long as I'm going to get one then, I want a real nice one.

What is the height I should look for?

What is the best one?

Might as well get one with a nice release latch.

Looking at this:

https://www.larue.com/products/aimpoint-micro-t-2-2moa-m4-qd-mount-combo/

Absolute (LT751)
Provides absolute cowitness with the Iron Sights on M4 Carbine and AR-15 Flattops.

The Larue is a good mount. I like the Bobro mounts as well as American Defense.

I have a Scalar Works absolute co-witness mount and highly recommend it. Lightweight, strong and easy to remove and install.

If you have a fixed front sight, I think the 1/3 lower co-witness is a much better choice.

I have a couple Larue mounts and I like them a lot. They mount up solid and stay put, what more can you ask for?

The front sight will be a flip up Magpul BUIS Pro.

I am a huge fan of Scalarworks mounts and one of their Leap micro mounts would be ideal. I also really like the mounts from Midwest Industries: https://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/MI-QD-Mount-for-Aimpoint-T1-and-T2-Co-Witness-p/mi-qdt1-co.htm

I used to run LaRue and ADM mounts exclusively, but have slowly transitioned to MI and Scalarworks mounts for all my red dot sights. The MI mounts have a superior locking mechanism to the one on the ADM and LaRue mounts and the Scalarworks mounts are in a class all their own.

Geisele and Scalarworks are the best.

I’m using 1.93” Geisseles.

Best non QD and likely most bomb proof on the market: Geissele.

Best QD (no tools needed) Scalarworks LEAP.

Probably can’t go wrong with either.

Thank you all who responded to this thread.

I went to the site and I really like the Scalarworks LEAP.

I think I'm going to order it tomorrow.

Thank You.

The code did not work.

I'm going to call them and search for more codes on Monday.

EDIT:

I just called. The code is good for orders of $150 or more!

Thank You!

I'm going to get it!

Any reason you didn't take advantage of all Memorial Day sales? On that note, Independence Day is 30 days away. Just saying

Spuhr makes both QD and non-QD Micro mounts these days, probably the way I'd go if cost is no object. I'm personally currently using the GDI QDs, but that's because Spuhr wasn't making Micro mounts back when I bought them.

Selling a GDI for super cheap. Just sayin'.

I got the T2 for only $640 after all discounts from eBay on Memorial Day. Killer deal after 15% percent off from eBay and from a reputable dealer. It was negated though because I should not have ordered the one with the mount. It was totally sealed when I got it and not some grey market.

That looks nice.

I ordered the Scalarworks and some mags from Brownells. I got $15 off and free shipping.
