I just got a Cz 83. Im not a fan of the grip. It's bulky for my hands and I can't release the magazine without breaking my grip. And when I say breaking my grip I mean it's I have to almost turn the pistol to the side to do so.

I want something thinner. I did some research and it doesn't seem to be a lot of option. Other than wood grips. I was hoping for more hour or rubber type grips.

Does any of guys have any links?

Thanks

Not that I’ve seen. It IS an amazing pleasure to shoot. I only shot one once back in the day. Quite enjoyable.

That's too bad. If the grip was a thinner profile, would be great. And I might be able to reach the mag release with a little more ease

Good question. It is a bit large for 380. But it would of been better if they made the grip a lot thinner in profile.

You may want to try out a single stack pistol in .380, or 9x18. I have a Beretta 85FS .380 that is a joy to carry, and shoot, and I also sometimes carry a Bulgarian Makarov, or a Polish P-83 Vanad as well which are in 9x18. All carry pretty easily, and are good shooters.

I wouldn't have bought this pistol, but I won it in a raffle. By no means I'm complaining. I just figured if I can get some aftermarket grips that are thinner why not.
I haven't shot it yet. I live on Cali so I have to do the bs 10 day wait.
When I shoot it and it's not comfortable I might sell it.

They are accurate, well made, and reliable.

I can't reach the mag release on most pistols without rotating it in my strong hand. Frank Proctor showed me, in one of his classes, to release the mag with my weak hand on my way to get a new mag. It's only marginally slower and keeps your shooting grip. I never really took to it and found just re-gripping the pistol to be just as fast and accurate. It's all about training and repetition.

I was pretty surprised when I first held it.
With my g19 and my xdm 45 acp, I don't have to break my grip that much.

Here are some options.

That said, I think a trade for a Makarov might give you better results if you want a smaller grip.

That's the guy that quoted me the the $97 price tag.
I'll wait and shoot it first before making any decisions. Who knows I might end up liking it a lot.
If not, I can sell it
