I know there is another thread right now regarding pencil barrels but it is more carbine length so I didn't want to hijack it.

I am looking for a 20" pencil barrel with 1/8 or 1/7 twist rate. The only real option I'm seeing is Brownells Retro barrels. Who makes them for Brownells? Also I know they had a recall last year or year before last, so has anybody had recent experience with one?

Is there anyone else I'm missing? Criterion supposedly makes one but Fulton Armory is sold out.

Faxon makes the Gunner in 20" and 18", both are melonite 1-8 twist and a light profile (thinner in front of the gas block than an A1 barrel). I have a 20" Gunner barrel and am very pleased with it. If you want a FSB, contact their customer service, there is a company that sells the Gunner barrels with a FSB installed.

If you are looking for a chrome lined phosphate barrel, please disregard.

Here ya go:

Just buy a .625" FSB and send it all to Adco for pinning. I did this exact same thing a couple years ago with a McKay barrel.

Thank you! I take it the McKay barrels are good to go? I had never heard of them before now.

Now I assume these are the same barrels. It's been 5 years so who knows. McKay themselves didn't/doesn't make the barrels.
