Something a little more reliable than a Russian news network.

MacArthur wanted nuclear weapons in Korea. The fact that Westmorland "requested" nuclear weapons and then was "denied" by Johnson is hardly surprising or even anything dramatic.

It's not like when a leader of a country like Khrushchev put nuclear weapons in theater. Obviously in light of that event, and because Johnson was fundamentally a disaster of a President who was more interested in being hailed and remembered as the "Great White Civil Rights Leader" and wasn't really interested in Vietnam beyond making it "go away" he probably wouldn't have authorized nuclear weapons even if the Chinese provided them to the North.

Interestingly enough McCarthy leaked this to a reporter back in 1968 as part of his "anti war" campaign for President and the Johnson administration launched an aggressive cover up and denial that also contributed to Johnsons obvious lack of support for a program he was officially denying even existed.

Are you seriously telling me the NYT is a reliable source of information? Where where you when Judith Miller and the NYT pimped us into a war in Iraq? We should have all been listening to RT then.
