View Full Version : Brownell's Action Lube Plus
Anybody trying using this stuff. I'm thinking of using this stuff instead of molybdenum disulfide grease. One thing though it says "this product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer." Is this to be of concern using? Would it be ok to keep this stuff on the night stand?

It's not that kind of "action lube". I believe gotm4 has been using that stuff for his rifle builds for some time now and recommends it.
If you have ever lived in California you would know that this is a standard disclaimer that the state requires almost everything made by man. I wouldn't be too concerned about it.

I think CA puts that 'causes cancer' even on bottles of water.........................j/k
CA is a very litigious place.

I think you mean "The Republic of California"
I thought it meant it only causes cancer if you live in CA...

Good stuff. It works well for assembly.
Brownells Action Lube Plus. (http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/ProductDetail.aspx?p=1147&title=ACTION%20LUBE%20PLUS~)
I use this on all my builds.
I tried this stuff and it works well. It's seems alittle thinner than I like.
I went back to Breakfree LP. It's made for full auto weapons and it's alittle thicker.
I like it and use it for pistol rails. Makes cleaning a flash.

Are you guys using moly anywhere else besides the barrel on your builds?
Are you guys using moly anywhere else besides the barrel on your builds? I've used the Brownells stuff on the FCG, primarily on the engagement surfaces.
