As new, never used, only mounted. It was originally a demo for Henry Rifles, used to test fitment. It has HRAC DEMO electro-penciled on the bottom. Doesn't affect mounting or use at all. It's essentially brand new, never been fired while mounted. Comes with the outer cardboard sleeve, which says "Inspected 9/26/13" on it. Also the plastic hard case, 2 AA batteries. Not a single mark on it, anywhere, other than the inscription.
