I just bought myself a nice used Savage 110 Left-handed in the 30-06. for deer season. I'm looking at getting a Leupold Vx-III 3-9x40 or a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40. My question is who makes some nice bases and rings? I don't like Leupold because there stuff if Weaver. I'd like to get a 1 piece picatinny base and some rings that are very high quality.

Warne make excellent picatinny base. For rings, I use the Burris Xtreme Tactical rings, they use 6 screws per ring. I mount all of those on my Remington 700 SPS. All can be purchased from Midway.

Warne and Talley make great rings/bases. Burris supposedly makes quality mounts. No first hand experience on any of these though. Personally, I use all Leupold rings/bases for my hunting rifles. Never have had any issues with quality/performance. Everything has remained solid after many years of use on some of them. Good luck and enjoy your new gun!

I put this rail from PRI on my 111F 7 rem mag. Clean and solid as a rock.

Ken has some good stuff.

I have what Sam has. I have never had a problem with my setup. Everything is still tight. 1500 rounds later.

I have the same gun in 7mm Mag, Get the Ken Ferrel base and Rings- Brownells has them I believe.
Love my Savage- holds 1 moa in a wood stock easy.
