What is the difference between both slings? Both look the same, but im sure therer are some differences. Not concerned about price, just want the best one available

I tried both.

1. VCAS is wider = more comfortable when the weight of the rifle is hanging on your neck for a prolonged time

2. Even better, the VCAS is available in the padded version, and versions with the cobra buckle, and with QD swivels.

3. When the sling has the slack taken out, VCAS adjustment tab is easier to find and reach with support hand than the tab on the Viking. I found the tab on the Viking was at about 8 oclock, and up by my armpit. This may not be a huge concern when you are not wearing any kit.

4. The Viking quick adjust has more range of travel than the VCAS.

I found the VCAS to be a much better sling.

Personal preference, however, I prefer the Vickers. Have five of them.

I hate to hi-jack the thread...more like expand it! ;)

Anyhoo, is there really much difference between the VCAS and the VCAS Double A slings?

Curious if the sling will work on a regular old bolt action rifle. Like my savage 110 30-06. I just aquired :D

The BFG Vickers uses far superior materials to the Viking T. sling. The material webbing is literally night and day. Some Viking slings are also made overseas.
