Does anyone else find the Millett DMS-1 difficult to operate quickly, effectively?

I find it difficult to transition from 1 -4 power quickly, and accurately. Is it my eyes or is it hard to get the sight picture to stop "fish eyeing"?

On mine, changing the magnification is definately something to do when your not in the middle of shooting. It is slow turning. The gun I run this on is set up for longer distances so I have not been troubled by that. I have not tried to run the gun close in that much because I have a different carbine (shorter and lighter) for that. I think that if your used to the larger tube Aimpoints or an EOTech sight picture, your going to find the sight to be a little slower anyway but then, you can see your hits better with the DMS. Way better :-)

I have no problem with the DMS-1. I run it only at 1X or 4X.

If you don't place your cheek weld at the exact same position a clear sight picture is almost impossible to achieve rapidly.
