I remember a thread last year, where many members feared the end of net neutrality would cause many issues. Have you noticed any issues? Everything is fine for me.

Its better than fine! Within 4 months of Net Neutrality ending, my provider upgraded everything, added Gigabit speed to my service area and my bill went down! I upgraded to the Gigabit speed and I am paying $10 more a month than what I was before for 150MB speeds!

A buddy of mine was crying that he wouldn't be able to binge Netflix or watch his cat videos on YT. This morning when I asked him about how wrong he was, he started complaining that we are 20th in internet speed in the world.

He’s not wrong. Poland has faster internet.
Still, Net Neutrality has always been a Socialist ploy to put up a Great Firewall China style.

They all know the Internet makes it hard to control narratives.

I do kinda miss old school internet because a lot less stuff was censored and there was less Facebook.

Yup, but people tend to miss and/or ignore the fact that upgrading the infrastructure for a country the size of the US is a lot more costly and complex then a country like Japan or South Korea.

Yes, we are 20th but we also increased our average speed 38% since Net Neutrality ended. The great Armageddon of not being able to stream PornHub and Netflix at the same time and posting your Snapchat filtered photo on IG didn't happen.

And the fact that we have a lot more connected homes and devices than any other nation in the 19 spots above us. Possibly even combined.

Sometimes being a leader in one aspect makes you a loser in others. The USA lead the world in infrastructure deployment for telephone lines. That means we have trillion miles if old Cooper stick in the ground and strewn in the air. That stuff ain’t free. Neither is pulling it or overlaying it with new tech. Unless there is a market drive to improve speeds like say competition in the market space ain’t no telco going to burn piles of cash upgrading. Fact if life.

We need to somehow kill the monopolies of ATT, VZ, ... in regions so there is a drive to update or loose customers.

Wait since when did net neutrality have anything to do with overall speed??

My speed has increased several times over the last several years, so not sure what NN, has to do with it.

Some of the NN fans sounded like chicken little or Al Gore. The sky was going to fall, NYC would be underwater, and you wouldn't be able to stream Netflix without being charged extra.

I forget which way, but with or with out NN companies wouldn't put investment into new networks tech.

I am unaware of any ISP implementing the negative situations the repeal of NN would allow.

Likewise,
