Hey hey,
stocking up on components.
please advise the ideal weight for 1/7 and 1/9 barrels.
have both, need the "best" bullets for overall accuracy, energy retention and velocity per both twists.
advice?
recommendations?
thanks

WOW.....Thank ALOT guys.
The amount of responses was overwhelming.
Thanks again for the advice!!!!
Your requirements are tough. I'd guess some 69 grain SMKs or some such?
My logic is that you want energy retention.... which generally is a characteristic of a heavier bullet. But since you are shooting some 1/9 twist, 75 grain is probably not going to work for a standard load.
I personally keep a bunch of 55 grain FMJs.

Typically 1x7 barrels will shoot 69gr to 77gr best and 1x9 will typically shoot 68gr and 69gr best. This is typically as I've see some 1x7 barrels shoot 1/2" groups with 50gr HP. So you won't know until you try it.
