Damn, i'm anxious! I'm just glad it's over. It has been the most rediculous, slanderous election of my life time, and I feel as though the good ol' US of A just ain't what it used to be. Lets go McCain!!!

I just recieved a text message on my cell phone that went as follows:

"URGENT: Do not watch the polls yet, the Republicans are just now getting off from WORK!!!"

Anyway, my prayers have been said and all I can do is wait and hope.

I just voted.

No wait in our precinct. (New subdivision out in the wheatfields on the west side of Salt Lake Valley).

The wife was voting for the first time in her life. She was born and raised in Japan but had a Korean passport so had no vote there. She became a US Citizen 2 months ago. She voted straight R. I voted almost straight R but some local/state races I voted Libertarian on some, but not all. Our AG is really good on gun rights. Want to keep him in. Unfortunately, the LIB guy for Governor here is a joke. "Super Dell" Dell Schanze. Young guy who owned a pack and ship type store and started building PCs on the side. Sold the pack and ship store and had a whole fleet of PC stores. Nothing wrong with that. But his head got too big for his britches and he started doing and saying dumb things in public. All of a sudden, all of his PC stores went out of business. You can read about him in Wikipedia if you want. It is running people like this that is the reason the Libs never go anywhere.

I am not too worried about riots out where I live. Maybe in downtown Salt Lake City but not out here. Still, I am being vigilant.

First, Katar: thank you for the reminder.

Second, for the first time in my adult life I am choosing to publicly disclose what I did on election day. I chose not to vote for President. Period. I respect everyone else's right to choose and vote for the candidate who they believe could best lead our country. Or the candidate who would be least bad. I simply could not find that candidate on my ballot, even with one of them hailing from my home state. Wasted non-vote? Maybe. Maybe not.

I am sitting here at the station glued to my favorite news channel "Fox News" and wondering why they are calling some states like Penn. for Obama with only a small percentage of the polls in, some of these states only have single digit poll % in so far. Anyway, here is a link to the New York Times, they actually have a pretty good election map.

We also can NOT lose FL or OH...either one and we are OFFICIALLY done.

Bear witness to the failure of democracy. Free and fair elections are just a slow track to communism in a nation full of subhuman detritus who care more for their pocketbook than their country and their Constitution.

And yes, I said subhuman. Not because of the color of their skin, no; a great deal of this detritus is white; socialists of any color are inferior, less human, less worthy of life than good, honest people. Always have been, always will be.

Question is, what are YOU going to do about it? What will you do when they come for your freedom? Will you kill and die for what's right, regardless of your current situation? Or are you just another coward, like those infesting Europe?

So, you are suggesting what? We revolt violently because the other party won? If they start confiscating guns, I "bury" mine.

I am pissed that McCain appears to have lost as well, but we must endure and prepare for 2012. Not resort to radicalism.

Europe is a frightening scenario, but I humbly believe the economy cost us this election, not so much the Republican ideals or even Iraq. I think, I hope, we are several democratic presidential terms from becoming another Europe. America is just too strong willed...for now.

Republicans will make a comeback. They just have to.

I hear you , and no doubt it would be a horrible situation. Let's pray it doesn't happen here in the next 4 years, and meantime give what we can to the NRA as well as write our national/local politicians when bills come up.

Maybe find another local pro-gun group to join as well. Here in NJ, I belong to the NJCSD (New Jersey Coalition For Self Defense), and get frequent emails from them stating who to write when anti-gun laws come up in Trenton. There are also links to on-line petitions.

It is better than doing nothing, and more practical than planning for conflict.

When it's time to bury them, it's time to use them. I realize that falls in the same category as "better judged by twelve than carried by six," in that it's not that simple,...but it holds some water. Government largess doesn't ever go away, rights don't come back, what's coming is scary as hell.

Today I was on the phone almost the whole day, literally, taking orders for PMAGs. That is about all anyone was interested in. Same with the online stuff.

And Obama does not even become President for almost 3 months and it will take him a while to deal with the economy (Ie, try to fix it and kill it in the process) and giving BJs to the Europeans and Arabs.

He won't want to risk a gun ban before the 2010 elections I don't think. At least until gets his tax and other plans passed. And until he can stack SCOTUS.

I think you and Chad are wrong and here is why. Obama's policies have not been, are not currently, and will not be popular. People did not vote for his policies, they voted for a rock star. Ask a random 10 obama supporters to even get in the f-ing ball park of what he stands for and if 1 gets in the zipcode I'll personally punch my self in the nuts.

If he is half as smart as people say he is, the first thing he should do is disarm America. Not only will this ring pure in the hearts of most of his ghetto supporters but it will serve to quell any real chance of opposition to his eventual policy changes. Think about it people.....

As mentioned above, the filibuster is intact. Many of the Democrat House pickups were Blue Dogs. And believe it or not it could have been far worse: Billary Clinton could be back in the White House.

Check back here in a year. I predict that the doomsayers will find their short term paranoia misplaced, there will be no new AWB, and we'll all still be purchasing our AR's and Mags - maybe at a premium and maybe not. Obama is not going to stake his political capital on pushing gun control measures, imho, the sun will rise and we're not going to turn into a communist country. . . . . now I need to place a gun order for . . . . a Colt SAA in .45 Long Colt - how's that for tactical?

I just got back from mission, I was on a patrol this morning and a bunch of kids were more excited than usual to see us. An older kid came up to me and said he's very excited...I asked why and he said, "Obama is your new president, Obama loves Afghanistan and will give us more help." I had no idea who won until that moment.
I pondered the future as i listen to this sh*t-covered kid while standing on a rutted out dirt road partially submerged in raw sewage...I asked what he thought about McCain, he said, "McCain is a bad bad man, he bombed children, he hates Afghanistan and all Muslims." Gotta love the media.

........ok, I'll bite.

Let me use the global warming argument.

Lets say you continue to and even ramp up your gun purchasing in light of what happened tonight. In a year, you are right. No AWB no new gun legislation etc. What have you lost?

Lets say you continue to and ramp up your gun purchasing in light what happened tonight. In a year, you are wrong. New AWB and new gun legislation etc. What have you lost?

Lets say you do NOT continue to or ramp up your gun purchasing in light of what happened tonight and you are wrong..... What have you won?

All signs point to "buy it cheap and stack it deep" even using the echoed "hope" argument.

Beyond that and far more importantly... What in recent history makes you feel
A. People/politicians do the right thing
B. Our guns are safe?

Some of you are saying our fear is misplaced when in reality we have every bit of evidence on our side supporting our views. It is your "hope" and optimism that lacks and historical evidence and is misplaced I fear. Do what you want, as for me and my household, provisions are being taken far beyond guns and ammo. PM me for details.

I had said all along that if Obama wins I hope it is by a landslide. Two reasons one it meant that more people actually got out and voted than ever before. Second, it sends a message to the rest of the world that the people of this great country have had enough. Bush is HATED around this world and if McCain had won the message would have been whether we like it or not, yup those Americans have become sheep and but in Bush Jr. Flawed, maybe, but that's what the result would have been. Now the world is saying Wow, the people of the US are pissed and fed up, so much so they elected the first black President in their history. God Bless the US and let's make sure we stand up for our freedoms in every area that made this place great in the beginning!

I think the USA was shown at it's very worst yesterday. We have now given the same forgiveness that we grace our actor's and athlete's to someone that will sit in the most important office in the world. Obama began his run with a lie about how he would fund his campaign, and then the avalanche of questionable associations followed that. I hope (and I really do hope now) that even though I'm not a supporter of Obama that he breaks with his history and veers to the right some to draw the country closer together. The extreme liberal left background doesn't give me much hope of this. His record speaks volumes and obviously people don't care. The economy isn't going to be front page news if a weakened country gets attacked again and I fear he will weaken our military and make really bad decisions. The overwhelming amount of money he spent buying the voted of the ignorant was too much for the rest of us to overcome. Had it been smart Obama voters against smart McCain voters then it would have been much closer and probably McCain would have come out on top, but his money allowed him to reach out to the young, inexperienced, and immature voters and they bought into his rhetoric. I'm sure the promise of "spreading the wealth" convinced a lot of go nowhere, do nothing people to get out and vote for their handout.

I am almost of the opinion to give them what they want. Some times people have to learn lessons the hard way.
I do have hope though. For my Christian brothers and sisters, I believe that God's intention was to bring Sarah P. into the spotlight and line her up for 2012.

My wife and I were discussing the exact same things last night.
It's funny how she was attacked too; it was about her clothes more than her record.

Had it been smart Obama voters against smart McCain voters then it would have been much closer and probably McCain would have come out on top, but his money allowed him to reach out to the young, inexperienced, and immature voters and they bought into his rhetoric.

I forgot that voting was only reserved for the old, experienced and mature. Thanks for reminding me.

It's a sad day when the Black Panthers and the Nation of Islam gets their spokesman in the White House and the world celebrates!!

Let's face reality, the media gave this Presidency to someone who we all know is wholly unqualified. I'm going to make a prediction: THIS WILL BE THE WORST PRESIDENCY IN TH HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES. Even worse that Jimmy Carter's.

Now much we can do at this point except hope for the best but prepare for the worst. :(
