Most of what I'll put below is in the video but since I know most won't watch all of it here goes:

I put 5k rounds through a VSKA that Century sent for the test. They didn't set any testing parameters for the test; that was my call. I decided to not kill it and just fired 150 rounds at a time, let it cool, then ran another 150. Repeat until all ammo was expended. The test was done over the course of 2 days.

I should have the raw shooting footage edited/rendered/uploaded on the B channel either this weekend or next week.

I think a lot of folks will focus on what I say at the end about the front trunnion and the wear/chip so I actually cleaned it with solvent (CLP was used throughout the test) and took some photos of it which you can see below and make your own assessment.

Watched the video “live” last night. Thank you for putting this together.

Was this AK right off the line or hand picked from CA?

Century could have started importing SAR 1's again, but no- they come up with this instead. US made AK's aren't worth the little you save over the real thing.

5000 rounds, huh? Was this made in association with AKOU? ;)

I'd be interested in seeing an accuracy test after 5,000 rounds.

No idea how they selected it but it was sent for this test along with the ammo.

Are SAR1s being made currently?

I think they had to stop importing Sar-1s for whatever reason.

They make y-stamp mag dimpled receivers for their Draco pistols- not a stretch to import the things as SAR 1's.

Nice review. I can't say that I'm motivated to get one, but it's nice to know that they're moving in the right direction.
