View Full Version : G17 grip reduction?
Ive been considering having a grip reduction done and a beavertail added to one of my G17's. Just looking for some feedback from some of you that have had this done. Is it worth it? Best place to send it? Pics?
Thanks in advance!

For your reading pleasure.
DR Middlebrooks imo does the best reduction for the best price. It isn't exactly "pretty" but then again neither is a Glock.
That being said, you could probably do it yourself if you're moderately competent.

I can vouch for Ray T. His work is top notch and your firearm is returned very quickly. Ray is also great to work with.
D.R. middlebrooks, as john stated also does great work. I have seen and groped some john's glocks. The work was very good.
Luxor - thanks for the kind words. How is you G19 doing? If you need some adjustments, please let me know. :)
The cool part in this industry is that there are many great smiths out there. Choosing the right one makes the whole customizing expierience an enjoyable and rewarding one. Choosing the wrong one, makes it a nightmare.
D.R. Middlebrooks, David Bowie, Gentle Ben, and others do awesome work. Just take the time to know the individuals and choose the right smith/artist to do your work.
Here are some pics of Luxor's G19.

bowie tactical concepts
I would encourage you to check out Mr. Bowie as well. Does a great job, though you may have to wait for it for a bit. He offers many different types/levels of grip reductions. Check out the website here (http://www.bowietacticalconcepts.com/).
I have had several Glocks and a M&P done by David Bowie. I have seen just about everything out there and I can say that Bowies work is the cleanest and most professional looking.
Thanks for all the info guys, much appreciated!
