Hi all. Im kind of an AR noob, but I am already assembling my second rifle.

I saw what seemed to be a nice looking receiver made by tactical innovations, so i picked it up and now I am running into a problem. The Receiver end plate does not fit properly to the reciever because it is a round hole instead of an oval.

Here are the pics:

My question is does anyone know of a reciever end plate that will work with this receiver? Tactical Innovations has not returned any of my emails regarding the issue (its been over a week) and I bought the reciever from a vendor at a gun show so they are obviously not interested in helping me with this. Suggestions?

Have you tried to fit the two together? It seems that they would work......

yeah, the raised portion on the end plate is too wide/large and doesnt fit into the recessed area on the rear of the receiver.

well, I am thinking of just taking a dremel tool to the receiver end plate. Anyone have any other ideas, please let me know! Thanks

well the raised area on the end plate is too wide to fit into the receiver. I didnt have this problem with my other build (CMMG lower)

I guess thats what I get for spending $200 on a lower receiver lol. I guess Ill just use the dremel to trim the end plate...

I had the same problem with my TI receiver. I had an old A1 fixed stock and it will fit the hole in the receiver. I tried three endplates from different sources and none fit the TI receiver. If you plan to use a collapsable stock you need to get the files out to make the endplate fit. Good luck.

my lower reciever is a Philippine contract m16a1 lower reciever capable of full auto.

I don't know if this matters. is there such thing as a carbine lower reciever?
