I just ordered a geissele mk8 rail for the 10.3 Im assembling, In some pictures online they appear to be a very cool looking almost shiny bronze color, then in some pictures they seem like a flat fde(ish) color

How does yours look 8n person?

Does the color just vary rail by rail?

thanks

From what I've seen they vary. I've seen MK14 that are very shiny. Most Mk16 have been relatively matte.

Yes, desert dirt varies in color. I expect the same variations as you'll see with the super precision mounts.

They vary for sure.

I have items that are flat coyote brown and others that are pale straw in color. There is a fairly detailed disclaimer on Geissele’s website that details the color difference.

I have 3 ALG DDC and no 2 are identical. 2 are flat brown shades and one is the shiny bronze. None look bad, just different.

The exact coloration varies, but all of mine have been matte.

My first 2 were and in all honesty I thought they were the same shade until I double checked before responding here. Close, but not quite the same.

#3 was immediately apparent on being different due to shiny bronze shade. It isn't shiny like it is polished...maybe satin? Just not flat like the first two.
