Just thought I'd stick up a thread for this year's SOTU discussions. A few buddies on a politics chat andd I made up bingo cards, and if anybody wants to play along at home you can get a card at https://mfbc.us/m/gxfa62 .
So, what all are we expecting to see as highlights tonight? My money's on abortion and The Wall driving the bus, with judges a possible third... beyond that, with Trump's word-salad "fling shit at the wall and see what sticks" approach I'm placing no bets.

Luckily for us, the MSM will spend the next week splicing sound bites and explaining how the President is a Nazi and hates brown people (you know, like the lady whose sentence he commuted).

Great speech.
You know, in a company, an organization, an agency-- or a government, behavior at the bottom usually reflects behavior at the top.
The overt acts of disrespect, the purposeful sourpuss looks of dissatisfaction, initiated and I believe even orchestrated from just over the president's left shoulder, showed a disappointing, disgusting level of selfishness and immaturity from the Democratic side. The Speaker's shaking head, pursed lips, mumbling to herself, fidgiting, shuffling papers and all that, should be way beneath the position. It was shameful-- but shame, they are woefully short on.
This does not go for every single Democrat. But a large segment of the party is not representing the party as whole, as a party of reason. And as far as I am concerned, behaving like spoiled brats means you are not representing the American people.
Right from the get go he made it a point to say he's willing to cooperate. He firmly put the ball in the democrat's court tonight. It was a good speech, but I missed a bit of it.
I lost it after 10 minutes... to many applause and standing ovations... every 10 seconds...
I will watch it tomorrow once an edited version comes out... I am guessing it will be about 11 minutes long.

Trump isn't the best scripted speaker and it showed tonight. However, I thought it was a pretty good speech and nothing crazy proposed. Kind of mild. I think it was his way of extending the olive branch to the DNC in a small way to see if it's reciprocated.
I thought he killed it tonight. Great job and nailed the points he wanted and need to nail.
He did very well, the left looked like idiots, and he helped them.

Didn’t watch. State of the Union is not a tradition I find useful.
The best part are all the ComDems sitting there with that look on their faces like they just dropped a load in their pants.

I get it if they don't like him. But GD it, if they want legitimacy, respect the office. Repsect the law, the established processes, the country and the American people. Petulant, pouting, whiny, entitled doesn't cut it..... consider the facts, tell the truth, make your case, hash it out like adults. The childish strong-arming has got to stop.

I think Fox said it best. Never would we have imagined a time the President of the United States would have to stand up before the entire government and have to say such a thing.

The pathetic dysfunctional Democratic Party is imploding before our eyes.. I believe Trump getting elected president was exactly what our country needed at this point in time . IMHO, without it’s partner in crime and enemy of the people, the “FAKE” NEWS media spewing forth it’s propaganda to deceive the minds of the American sheeple, the Democratic Party has no power. Also, with the Louis Farakann disciples attempting to take over, the Democratic Party is currently way off it’s traditional reservation, and they are loosing more members everyday. I thought he did an excellent job. Not sure what was up with Pelosi and her tongue constantly out. She looked like a friggin’ lizzard.

I felt that was the primary scope and intent of the speech. I thought it was good. Some of the looks on the faces of the Dems. Holy cow. Schumer looked like the Devil incarnate. Kaine looked like a fat pig ready for the fire pit. Burning Man Bernie looked like he was going to have a stroke. the SCOTUS looked like they were posing for bronze statures. Cortez was looking pretty & stupid as usual. Pelosi was just her typical freak show self.
All in all though, and especially considering it was Trump, I thought the speech was very good. If it had been Obama it would already be carved in stove and placed as a new monument in DC.
Man I am glad he called out Northam the Baby Killer.
Glenn Beck was there and he is talking about what was going on in the Dem Party off camera. Selfies, mockery, laughing, talking to one another. I wish Trump had ordered cameras for an unedited view of how the Dems actually acted.

Twitter was the key to him getting past the messaging and lies of the MSM. He has to learn that once you have hammered all the nails, you put the hammer away and use new tools. Four years of the same has allowed (and actually forced) dems to play in the same arena. Time to change the battlefield.
I think if he cut his twitter by 90% and mainly stuck to speeches, he'd win in 2020. The problem is that he is a walking Greek Tragedy that will eventually self-destruct.

Received the following from a friend, noticed people|organizations he has no respect for the names aren't capitalized. I do the same with my post|emails|texting.
One of my interesting activities is to watch the liberals reactions to both liberal and conservative speeches. A couple of observations about last nights SOTU address.
1. If you noticed, on numerous occasions when the dems started moaning about a key point Trump was making, pelosi would raise her hand to signal for them to back off. She knew the world was watching and that Trump would score points if the dems acted like a bunch babies.
2. alexandria occasion cortez was caught many times with her head down, and not clapping, even when Trump made a point that was popular with most of the dems.
3. On one occassion cortez was seen on camera not clapping when virtually all others were. maxine waters leaned over to get cortez attention and informed her she was on camera, and cortez immediately raised her head and began a weak clap. My bet is cortez will get a lesson about how to appear being civil. She is one vile bitch. Thinks she is the only person in the world that can serve humanity.
4. When Trump was talking about women achievements and advancements in Congress, and received genuine applause from all, pelosi held her hand out toward the dem side and said (under her breath) "yeh on our side". [I could read her lips]. The bitch does not give a shit about women in congress unless they are dems.
5. Did you notice bernie all puffed up and pouting when Trump suggested America would never be a Socialist country?
6. The dem women were all wearing white. I think this was to show solidarity with abused women, woman power, Kavenaugh accusers, or something along those lines. This would also make them silently obvious when they refused to stand. However, Trump said so many things they could not disagree with that the message I saw was how often they stood up and applauded his speech. In my opinion Trump struck a more positive than negative cord with the dems than they expected.

I disagree with almost everything other than Twitter being the key to getting past the MSM lies. By using Twitter, he can speak directly to the American people without the MSM filter. He can’t exactly give a speech at 0400, when something is on his mind.

No communication no win. Twitter is his only reliable means of comm. .. and it get's rebroadcast by everyone. Even for the people that don't care what he has tweeted at least they know he is still out there.
If the Dems win in 2020 it's full out socialism. they will have the House, Senate, Most States, POTUS, .. then they will rid themselves of the likes of Schulosi and then it's game on... maybe we will get that civil war everyone has been talking about.

Because she is an emotional child that hit the proverbial lottery. You think of how many nouveau riche individuals act up after finding that fame and fortune. And think the rest of the world gives a hootie darn what their opinion is on matters.
She is the current "rock star" of the DNC. Until the next big thing comes along of course. She's "cute" and "funny" but I dare say that will get old really quickly among the rank and file.

Before Trump I never watched an election debate, a SOTU, etc. now I watch them all. I love how he plays a crowd and trolls the opposition! He did a magnificent job!
