Looking at new scopes for my new competition rifle and am looking at the Nightforce atacr 5-25-56
and the vortex razor hd gen II 4.5-27-56 (https://tacticsfaq.com/what-is-the-difference-vortex-razor-hd-gen-ii-4-5-27x56-vs-nightforce/). what are ya'lls likes, dislikes, opinions and ext?

Both have well-rounded feature sets, and are regarded as very good.

I have a few ATACRs, and am very pleased with them.

A lot of the folks I've known decide based on the reticle they most prefer.

I looked at both of these options and chose the vortex amg due to weight and I like the reticle.

Two different scopes for generally two different purposes. Smaller eye box FFP scope with 1-8x is more of a DMR scope and at 2.5x the cost. Large eye box SFP Scope with 1-6x is more of a close range that CAN be pushed out to longer range scope. Choose the one thats most applicable to you.

FYI The Gen II Razors are now rocking the same reticle (With only a very subtle difference in where the numbers are located on the windage tree) as the AMG. Weight is still the same for the time being, though.

You guys need to put a t3 reticle option into the amg line or cut the weight on the razors haha.

I prefer the Mil-R reticle to all others so I’d pick the NF. I would also like to give the MIL-C a whirl. It looks like a good option in the 5-25

While you're taking requests, how bout an Razer HD in a mid range 2-12?

Hmm...

I’m in love with Horus reticles.

Are you guys set up to use/implement Horus reticles?

i like the contrast better on the ATACR. I think the FOV is larger on the Razor, reticle goes to the razor to me, turrets are a wash. weight sucks on both but the NF is lighter. Can't go wrong with either but the NF is going to cost more any way you look at it.

Maybe because I’ve been looking at the website with my phone but I did not see a Horus option for the reticle.

Here is a review of several high end scopes ... Tangent Theta, Minox, Rzr G2, ATACR, S&B ... influenced my decision ...

It was between the 4-16 atacr and the 3-18 gen2 razor for me.After looking at all the features between the 2 I saw that eurooptic is blowing the 3-18 razors out for 1450 and snagged one of those. The atacr will be lighter but at the cost of 1k more I couldn't justify it.You really wont go wrong with either of them
