LMT Gas Key

I just picked up a new LMT BCG and the metal near the top of the gas key is splitting at the staking points. Could this be due to brittle metal and could it cause problems down the road? I have a different LMT BCG and the staking on that one looks just fine FWIW.

No pictures at this time due to being at work. Thanks for any help.

Every once in a while they look like that, I wouldn't worry about it.
