I have a dd front sight and dd rear back up sight on my rifle. I went to zero it today and the rear sight is drifted almost all the way to the right for it to be zeroed. I replaced the sights with magpul pro buis and same issue, rear has to be all the way to the right for zero. Its a free float giessele rail so no front sight block. Is it okay or is it something to be concerned about?

Doesn't seem right.

I thought that maybe the rail was crooked so I took out the bolts and used a scope mount to line up the receiver to the rail and reinstalled the screws and same issue.

But it zeroed.

It’s not a problem until they won’t zero because you ran out of windage.

Yeah if it doesnt cause issues I dont really mind I just wanted to see if something could possibly be out of spec.

Your upper receiver, at the front, may not be perfectly square.

As long as you zero, with a few clicks to spare, it will run fine.

I have AR’s of different brands. All of them have the rear sight about 8-10 clicks to the left. It’s more about where you position your aiming eye behind the line of sight.
