Rifle Length Gas Tube

I’m looking at rifle length gas tubes. I notice that there are several different types, stainless, melonite, nitride, etc. What are the benefits of the different types? Which ones do you like best?

Melonite and Nitride are virtually the same. They also started as a stainless steel gas tube.
