I prefer to have fixed front sight a la Colt 6920; however, what BUIS Front/Rear Sight Combination do you recommend on 16 inch mid length 5.56 with RDS (that does not have FFS like Colt 6920)? This is not range toy.
Thankyou for your help.

Several manufacturers make a strong fixed front sight. I like the Scalarworks. I have a Troy that is strong also. The DD is good and takes up minimal rail space.

Daniel Defense or LMT are what I have used on work rifles in the past. Either one would serve you well.

If you have not already I encourge you to look at our new line of combat sights.
Our fixed clamp on with a two piece design rather than flex to clamp like some of the others.

I just snagged a set of the MI sights after seeing the post here on M4C. They lock up tight and appear to be well made. The price is solid as well.

Depends on how often I use them. For my range gun I have a Magpul MBUS on the rear as it's cost effective and I'm usually using my RDS anyway. I have a MaTech sight on the rear of my other carbine as I practice with it often and prefer the smaller aperture it provides. Size of the aperture (or both if you have an A2 style rear) will largely be a personal preference however.

I'd add a folding KAC rear right, Larue Fixed rear sight and the Magpul MBUS. I've used all three. The Troy folding rear is also solid and was my go to for a while.

The MI, Dd and Scalar all look good.

Midwest Industries’ new folding sights look like the perfect backups (what you say you need). If I hadn’t already purchased the Magpul MBUS Pro’s recently, that’s what I would have gotten.
However, if looking to have fixed sights, I never look beyond the Daniel Defense options. Simple and sleek.
