No. You need a CAR fiberlite and you need to pay at least 200 dollars for it or you're disrespecting the men who died with it in their hands.

You will see several different stocks being used on M4/M4A1 SOPMOD Block 1 weapons. You will see Gen 3 CAR stocks (fiberlite), LMT SOPMODs, MAGPUL CTRs, MAGPUL MOEs, some M93s, B5 SOPMODs, and a few others. Many guys were able to swap out the factory Colt stock for one they preferred and that was approved by their respective units for use. They did have to remove any modifications when the weapons were returned to the armory. Cloning can be difficult as there are many different variations.

I was issued a M4a1 with a stock that looked like a B5 in like 2005 or so. It had the Knight’s handguard.

I preferred the fiberlight CAR stock that Fly mentioned, and used them at work until 2016.

Yes, it can be, so can the basic "waffle" stock which is probably seen 10 to 1 vs the SOPMOD (B5) stock.

Circa '12 when I was in Afghanistan I had the basic CAR stock. It broke during train up when I mortared the rifle to remedy a jam. I put Magpul stock on it the next day and it wore that one until I got home. On other people's rifles I saw mostly CAR stocks or Magpul. I never saw a B5 stock on anyone's gun unless they had a long tab and most long tabbers still had the basic stock.

Frequency of seeing SOPMOD stocks is going to be Unit and year dependent. Even within SOF, basic waffle and CAR fiberlight stocks were quite common.

I "cloned" my last issued weapon, I changed the things I didn't like such as grip, didn't use a KAC rail.

There were so many variants, based on unit SOP, type of unit (secret squirrels had all sorts of different stuff)
