Just put a vg6 epsilon on my new faxon pencil barrel.it does it’s job very well.you will feel a fair amount of concussion indoors, but I ran it out doors yesterday and it’s fine.anybody try the epsilon sl model?

No experience with the sl model, but I have a couple of vg6 epsilon's on 16" barrel ARs, and they do an excellent job. My favorite brake.

I have a Gamma. Same as the Epsilon but without the tines/prongs. I don't expect the smaller diameter of the SL would be as efficient as the larger brakes. The reason for the smaller diameter of the SL is to allow the gas blocks of pinned/welded 14 1/2" barrels to be removed.

I like VG6 stuff and bought a CAGE for bench shooting and carbine classes. They are really nice brakes.

I hate to ask, but . . . what do you mean by "thumpy"?

If you stand anywhere near the flanks of a rifle with one of these while firing...youll understand. You'll feel it in your chest-and elsewhere.

Glad to hear it’s bearable on an 10.5” SBR. I’ve been thinking about putting one on my 11.5” pistol.
