Picture a SHTF scenario like the one depicted in The Road. You have a 6920 as your do-it-all rifle. Given that you've already stashed an ample supply of batteries, which RDS do you take with you, the aimpoint T2 or Comp M4s? Which RDS is more durable, has better optical clarity, and is better suited for SHTF scenarios?
This topic has been beat to death for years man.

Either my Razor 1-6 or PST 1-6.
Clean reticle, great glass.

Arfcom has arrived.
Surely there are numerous posts on this topic, personally I am going to go with the compm4, because that is what I have on mine and I like AA batteries

Were I setting up for that scenario- something like a Trijicon Id think would be best...no batts to worry about ever.
Arfcom has arrived.
It’s been here for a while now.

I would probably select an optic compatible with that supply of batteries.

Nightforce 1-4. Simple, very rugged, useable with or without batteries and increases range of rifle compared to a red dot.

Well not for 15 years at least!

Hey...good point I forgot. But, it does still beat batts! Maybe civilization will have come back by then.

Id go for lasering eotech reticles onto your eye balls if you want something to last until you die.

Except ACOGs suck for GP. Except maybe that one baby 2.5 one, but idk what’s even the point then. LPVOs have etched reticles for when the batter dies which means they’ll last even longer than the tritium.

I can see it now: a commercial for 65MOA ring/1MOA dot contacts! Then release the BDC ACOG version.....

But the battery life on those suckers....

I know I'll be excoriated for this, but the EOTech has and still does pique my interest. I only have one these days and the thermal drift/DoD BS has caused me to hesitate buying any. That said, I still love the reticle and FOV. I will note that in 90% of the pics you see of HSLD guys they are using EOTechs. Just saying......

I love my EOTech, always will. I prefer it to any Aimpoint as far as usage (and price) goes. But quality LPVOs have so much win.

Really good info here. I recently bought a LVPO for my .300 BLK and just lucked into a 2nd focal plane scope. It does exactly what I need it to do.
Do yourself a favor. Please take some time to read the various subsections within the forum.
