1. The cartridge case is brass instead of steel, alloy or some other metal.

2. The primer is a boxer type instead of the older Berdan type of primer.
Some foreign ammo has Berdan primers and cannot be reloaded.

3. The primer is modern non-corrosive one as opposed to older ammo which
had corrosive primers. It's rare to find corrosive ammo today and
most all of it will be older (1960's) and foreign made.

4. Could mean different things?

5. The bullet has a boatail (tapered) base that helps with accuracy.

6. Non-magnetic?

7.The primer has a waterproof sealant. Usually found on military ammo.
That's the purple, red or some other colored ring around the primer
of some ammo.

8. The cartridge case neck has been annealed to make it stronger and
less brittle.

Google some of these terms for more information. Especially on the different
types of primers and corrosive ammo.

6. non-magnetic

A magnet is not atracted to the bullet. A simple test for a bullet made with steel as opposed to lead or copper. Steel projectiles are thought to be the cause of creating sparks (when hitting the backdrop) and can ignite a fire in brush.

The CMP M2 ball ammo being sold has a mild steel bullet core, and will attract a magnet. Some ranges don't allow you to shoot bullets that have steel in them.

All copper-No lead found in the bullet. This can mean the bullet is "environmently friendly" and can be used at ranges that demand as such. Also, this will add the the price as copper is expensive. Barnes has a line of all copper bullets that have great penatration and weight retention.
