Does anyone have any decals on your guns? I stumbled on a site that does custom ones and I'm trying to picture what some of these would look like on my rifle and google images doesn't really filter the fact that I want to see a decal ON A GUN and not a gun shaped decal  . I have a feeling this may be a thing most people hate, and to be fair I'm a bit on the fence if I would ever put a decal on my guns, but I'd love to see if anyone has any.
Depends on the decal...what's the website.
People in the 1800's would sometimes decorate their weapons, so why not today. It seems harmless.
A white sharpie marker does a good job....
But anyways no just get a sticker and plop it on

All you need for decoration is Paki tape (https://www.echo93.com/product-page/green-paki-tape).

I had this laser etched on a bunch of mags - with the number of the mag in the box:

Thinking about having the wife cut a stencil and put it on the A2 stock of my service rifle. Just because.
I'll rattle can mine, and change up the look to fit whatever I happen to be doing with that particular firearm, and I've also used GunSkins in the past. Not sure if that counts as a decal or not, but putting an actual sticker on just isn't really my cup of tea.
Punisher Skull.
On everything.
Punisher Skull.
On everything.Ha!
I have a decal and some stupid engraving on one rifle that came that way when I bought it [emoji34]. It was a good price so I overlooked that nonsense. The sticker is huge and on the buttstock. Big white sticker on a black stock, says something like ZOMBIE RESPONSE TEAM. Every time I take it out I scratch a little bit more off! But damn.....that thing is like cemented on.
What really bothers me now is the engraving. It bothered me a little when that young cop shot some dude in a hotel hallway with an AR that had some mucho crap written on the dust cover. And it bothers me even more now after the NZ shooting. I can just see it now. If I used it to defend myself.....even if my house was broken into by Hitler himself leading a group of ISIS members the news would just focus on the engraving
Took it to a few gunsmiths and they can't do anything about it. Too deep to polish off. Think I'm just going to put some black duct tape over it and leave it at that. If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears
Otherwise no! No stickers and no derp phrases,

Go for it!

I don't have any "decals" but since I started building Retros the number of ARs I have has increased sharply. I now have nine of them, with a couple extra upper receiver groups as well.
Since I shoot my ARs often, and I'm constantly switching between them, in order to keep track what gun is doing what at any given time, I started keeping a log for round counts, part replacements, ejection angle etc..with this many guns it is easier if the guns are numbered. Thus most of my ARs have "rack numbers" on the stocks now.

Number 2 is a special case...it has both a number and a "U Mad" Trollface pin, as a shout-out to my proud heritage as an instigator of trouble.

Are those Brownell's Type D butts or refinished originals?
Are those Brownell's Type D butts or refinished originals?
Brownells, I have them on three guns. The two pictured and one other fixed stock carbine. I've been reserving my originals for Retro builds. (I don't put my rack numbers on original furniture though)
I have stickers on a few of my weapons. The stickers were given to me after being custom made by the (former) owner and founder of Gunskins. I have slapped them on a few weapons, on the tan one, the sticker hides the large blem / engraving, on the CZ Scorpion, I did it because it was easier than slapping my logo on stuff. I also have my logo laser engraved on a few stocks, but those were gifted from KAC, so they hold special meaning to me.

Reviews are pretty mixed on those stocks, with most not being overly impressive. I've kicked around the idea of buying one and putting foam on the empty inside, but it would be nice if Brownells had done that. What are your thoughts on this? Do you feel it needs any additional support?

They do feel quite a bit cheaper than an original although I don't know as the material itself is actually weaker, I suspect not to be honest. I haven't been intentionally running them over or throwing them off buildings or anything but mine have been out in fairly cold weather and suffered the odd fall without breaking. I personally haven't put foam in mine but I don't see any downside to doing it. I don't know as it would really help the structural integrity of the stock itself but the extra density would likely help give it a more "substantial" feel.

Restrooms ACTUALLY pay a royalty TO Stickman. If you've ever had to drop a nickle for a sheet of toilet paper? A penny of that went to Stick...
As for decals, the last thing I put a decal on, was a model of Bill Elliott's '84 NASCAR Thunderbird... in 1984. Decals on a firearm are probably for a younger crowd than me.

Haven't put any on my guns but I put them on my gun box.
I have a bunch in my parts drawer, but I am good with the guys/gals that put them on their guns.

Decals on guns?
Ridiculous. What are you doing - getting paid advertising dollars? I have a bag of decals and Velcro patches. I MAY put a patch on a gun bag or case IF I actually have done business with that company.
I’ll put them on my gear locker, parts cabinet, or gun safe. But not a fan of decals on a weapon. Too cheesy and it’s like “Hey everybody look what I have.” It’s cheesy and socially unacceptable.
So let it be written. So let it be done.

Because you have common sense. I’m flamboozled at all the M4C “individuals”, and I use that term loosely, that are putting stickers on their weapons like it’s some Revell P-61 Widow Maker. TOS has invaded our space here like those maggots from Californistan are immigrating to Texas.

I have 2 decals on 2 rifles, 1 on each - the barcodes of the serial number of the rifle, a la issue rifles. Otherwise, they're unadorned.
I have Punisher decals on all my guns, my car, my safe and a full size Punisher skull tattoo on my back.
I only have one rifle with a decal on it. The decal is the "I Voted" sticker they give you at the polls from the last election. I stuck it on the side of the magwell on one of my AR's on a whim. Sucker was a lot more durable than I ever expected. Can barely read it now though.
Closest thing to a sticker I have on guns is masking tape with a note as to what ammo that gun is dialed in for.
Hope I’m not going to Hell for that.

Hate for trying to support a forum meember's business. Now I'm triggered and need to go to a safe space.
Seemed like a good idea at the time, but I didn't send the other 75 off. :)

Nothing on my guns. Seems like asking for trouble at some point in the future, and it draws unneeded/unwanted attention even at a public range.
With that said, Uni-Vibe might be on to something with the peace symbol...how would that be spun? Maybe we should all do that.

I... do not understand.
I don’t have any decals. I was planning to use a silver perm marker or p touch label maker on the lowers that have non mil spec triggers....so it would say Larue or JP. Since I sometimes swap lowers
I’m fine with people that want to personalize their rifles. If it makes them happy who am I to judge.

I actually dig the unintentionally simultaneously sarcastic and foreboding undertones of that... Come to think of it, I think I have a voter decal left over from the last election around here somewhere...
As far as decals overall though....

Let me tell you a personal story about decals- a long time ago circa 2009/10 or so around here, a lot of folks liked to stick the "BCMGunfighter" sticker all BCM stuff came with on their stocks. I too wanted to be a cool kid...but then I was like, "what if I end up changing the stock, want to sell, and can't get a half-scuffed-up, worn out sticker off the stock?" So I never did it. Ended up changing stocks 3 times...
This decision was vindicated a couple years later after attempting to get that same sticker, and a couple others, off some paintball equipment I had stuck them on instead. Sure, I got 'em off eventually, but man, I had to *work* for it... and they neither helped me play any better, nor got any notice from anyone else, when they were on the equipment.
So... I kinda see it like the folks with patches plastered all over their kit- I won't give them shit for it (unless it's like, endless punisher skulls... lol) but... I really don't get the point of it either...
You want your gun to look cool in a non-ghey way?
http://blowndeadline.net/
If I missed something, just bear in mind the same rules apply to the application of decals and patches as other equipment- KISS. Unless you're sponsored.

Paintball 101 - only put pball decals on pball equipment.
The only pass is maybe your pball storage containers/bins and tool box.
Pball gods frown on gun, mx, skating, surfing and skiing decals on pball gear.
They had to teach you a lesson so you could warn others

Uh...What?
57057 My one and only decal on my gun/sight, and since EOTech bought it back from me for what I overpaid for it many years back I let them keep the decal when I returned it to them.

Ouch, I migrated from CA to TX.
On topic - I never put any on guns, but I have put some on hard gun cases. Sometimes it helps even if it's just something to make yours stand out, so you don't accidentally walk off with a look a like.
Get a grip already. Men that have killed other men in battles have been decorating their plane, rifle and other gear for a long time. If a guy wants to put a decal on his rifle who gives a crap...it isn't like it some form of faggotry. They even decorated their...gasp....faces.
No decals on my guns or mags.
No decals on my truck.
No advertisements on my hats or t-shirts (if you don’t count the little Carhartt logos on some:)
No tattoos or (intentional) piercings.
Damn, I’m boring!

Well I’ll issue you a “certified non-libtard californistanian” by virtue of AR ownership and no stickers on the AR. Multiple AR’s, some “Walker, Texas Ranger” quotes memorized and a proven track record of voting for Independent or Republican candidates and you can have an “Honorary Texan” membership awarded to you. Shiner, Lone Star or other Texan beverages in the fridge and a love for Texas brisket and we’ll forget the whole Californistan to Texas migration thing.
This is why we are known for our hospitality. :)
